How is a web series different from a feature film or a traditional TV series?

A web series is structured around multiple episodes, giving it more room for character and story development than a single feature. It is typically produced on a smaller budget and shorter timeline than a traditional broadcast TV series, and distributed primarily through digital platforms rather than a broadcast network's schedule.

Who commissions or funds web series?

Funding sources vary and can include:

• A broadcaster or streaming platform commissioning the series directly
• Brand sponsorship or branded content arrangements
• Film/TV tax credit and grant programs
• Independent/self-financing by the creators
